"Are you kidding? I really missed all that?" Nike asked, propping herself up with one elbow as she listened to Tane's tale. "Gunpowder carried me all the way home?" She blushed underneath her fur, and Tane rolled his eyes.
"Don't be getting any ideas," he warned. "It was just that no one else was in any condition to, really...Shroomsworth could have, but we would have had to pay him even more for that." He sighed softly. Besides, it's all over town that he has something going with PK, he wanted to say, but there was no reason to sink her spirits down any further. "I'm just glad that you're okay, really."
"Oh, Tane," she flicked her paw at h
Gunpowder's claws began to glow - Tane recognized his Dragon Claw move - but Slasher's claws were glowing as well. They sprang at one another, locking claws like two warriors would lock blades, before springing away again. The Weavile's grin grew steadily wider as the two foes leaped at each other again and again.
Tane wasn't watching; he was still staring at Nike, his heart in his throat. That would looks bad, really bad, he thought, feeling his stomach clench into a knot. I've got to help her...but if we try, those Sneasels will kill her.... He forced himself to take a deep, steadying breath. It's okay. Help will be here soon...but maybe n
"So then, Tane was like 'I'm not going to become a criminal, blahblahblah noble stuff,' but guess what? He did become one! He totally Psychic'd all these Machoke in the face, and then he broke into Mike's house and put a bug in it - a real bug I mean, with another bug on it...it was complicated - and then--"
"Please stop talking, we're almost here," one of the Sneasels escorting her said wearily. She blinked with surprise as a clearing opened up in front of her; a scarred Weavile sat in front of her on a throne made of branches. Mountains of berries and apples were strewn around him, and her mouth immediately began water.
"Hello hello!" she
Tane and Nike walked into the Spinda Cafe, with their Mienfoo partner trailing behind them. Nike glanced around the cafe quickly, her eyes seeming to glow as they landed on the Gabite. He was sitting at the bar, growling something to the Spinda who owned the place - literally growling, it sounded like - while throwing back some sort of brown liquid.
Rum? Nike though hopefully. That's all a pirate really needs, right?
"Gunpowder!" she exclaimed, her voice becoming a shrill squeak in her excitement. "Hello! How are you? Devonshire said we - Tane and Junior and I - get to help you on your mission!"
Gunpowder stared at Nike, then glanced at Ta
"Oh, relax," she purred, stroking the shell of the egg; she had tied it to her chest using her scarf like a sling. "This will be an easy mission. Then we can get to the fun stuff!"
"I just told you, I'm not fighting any Dark types," he grumbled. "Let's just hurry up and finish this mission, so we'll be off the hook for awhile, until Devonshire sends out another one of his letters...."
She pouted. "Where's your Rogue spirit, Tane?"
"I stuffed it down the throats of those Machoke I had to beat up for the first mission," he snapped. "Or maybe those Bug Pokemon you siced on us took it. Or maybe this weird slime we're supposed to be getting rid
Nike twiddled her claws while she waited for Tane; he and the Arbok had gone in search of materials, or something. Tane had said that there was a way to warm the eggs that the Arbok had found, a method that a lot of reptiles used. He had also said that it was important for them to have a lot of sun, and that protection wouldn't really be needed, so the "nest," as he called it, would need to be a bit farther away from the Arbok's own nest. Nike didn't have any interest in such things, and someone needed to guard the other eggs while Tane and the Arbok built their new nest-thingy.
She tapped the shell of the eggs absentmindedly, then blinked a

She swallowed, staring up at the Arbok that was staring them down. "I guess we're going to have to change our plan, huh?" she whispered to Tane. His ruby eyes were wide with fear as he stared up at the massive violet snake, which was still hissing down at the pair of them. As if on cue, Tane's Reflect flickered and faded away. Nike glanced at him quickly. "You want to charge that back up?" she asked anxiously. "Like, right n-o-w? Before this thing eats us both?"
"Leave this place," the Arkbok hissed down at them; its tail was coiled tightly around something that Nike couldn't see. Probably the eggs sh
She let out a low purr, flipping through her newest paperback. It was titled See Jynx Run, and although it was a simplistic little story (originally intended for very young children, although Tane didn't tell her that) she enjoyed it immensely. There was something simply captivating about the poor Jynx's delicious woes.
She glanced at Tane from over the cover of her book; he was reading his own, some sort of huge volume. She smirked.
Eventually I'll be reading big stuff too, she promised. And we can hold intelligent discussions over the merits of Jynxes.
She was lucky to have a partner like Tane, although she would never admit it.

He was going to regret it. He knew it as soon as he stepped out of that house. He wasn't a hardened criminal. He wasn't a thug. He wasn't a Rogue. He wasn't even a bad guy, not really, aside from the occasionally snide comments...but even those were more for him rather than anyone else.
But, at the same time, he knew he had to do it. For her, for Nike; for the only Pokemon that he had met who wasn't completely offset by his odd, reddish cast; bad enough that he had to be a male Gothita, but Shiny? Really? Did the universe just hate him?
It was for that very reason that he didn't really believe in Arceu
"Where are our Sleep Seeds?" she demanded, tearing through their closet. Tane didn't bother to look.
"Our Sleep Seeds?" he echoed. "Why do you need them?"
"Because!" she snapped, turning to their nightstand, pulling open drawers and riffling through them frantically. "Where are they?"
"Have you still not completed the mission?" he asked curiously. "Really? Why haven't you given up by now?"
"WHERE ARE THE SLEEP SEEDS?" she demanded, her voice high and shrill with panic. "I NEED THEM RIGHT NOW!"
Tane peered at her over the top of his book. "Whatever for?"

I haven't done much here recently because I've mostly been on fanfiction.net, working on some interesting projects. I've actually finished two whole stories (!) there, and I'm working on several more plus some oneshots. I'm Prin Pardus there as well if you are interested~
I'll probably just use this account to back-up files and collect art from now on~
Also, happy Jesus Dies day!
My brother demands a new project for me (Warriors fanfics are still being worked on as well), a little thing called Demigods. It's a Pokemon fanfiction, made up of six people with their Pokemon doing Pokemon things. It should be interesting.
I'm creating the characters as well as their Pokemon, and putting them up here. We recently got a new computer (and I have no flash drives or the like) so doing this makes it easy for me to work on them no matter what computer I am on.
Wish me luck!
(I finished NaNo with 62k, by the way. Yay.)
Yay, November! I've started my NaNo already. The characters can be found in my Favorites section, under the group called "Tempest". The story is unnamed right now...I'll add the plot/characters sometime later.
I finished my mini-NaNo for October (30k) about a week before the end of October. So I think I'll do just fine this year! <3
For the record, I joined NaNo last year (and won) so this is my second year.
